The 7G-TRONIC PLUS[1] automatic transmission is the highlight of Mercedes-Benz transmission technology. It supports the driver when he or she wants to accelerate in a particularly spirited manner or just wants to experience the full range of the agility of the C-Class Coupé.

Seven forward gears ensure optimum engine speed and deliver virtually imperceptible gear changes. Thanks to its multiple downshift capability, the 7G-TRONIC PLUS can skip individual gears when changing down to allow rapid gearshifts and even more dynamism.

In addition, the drive programs "C" (Comfort) and "S" (Sport) can be selected at the push of a button. In conjunction with the AMG Sports package, the AMG Plus Sports package and the Dynamic Handling package with sports driving mode (all three packages are available as optional extras) there is an additional "M" drive mode for manual shifting using the shift paddles on the steering wheel.
