The AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping system combines both agility and ride comfort. The shock absorbers adjust automatically to the driving situation.

Enhanced driving dynamics and driving pleasure at the touch of a button: Thanks to this package with its special sports mode. Pressing the "S" button causes the shift program of the 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission to adopt a more aggressively responsive mode. This results in a noticeably more direct engine response which delivers optimal acceleration performance and, therefore, enhanced longitudinal dynamics.

Another press of a button and the Adaptive Damping System sets up a noticeably firmer suspension response. In conjunction with the lowered suspension this results in significantly increased lateral dynamics during fast cornering. This dual approach allows the lateral and longitudinal dynamics to be adjusted separately.

The self-levelling suspension on the rear axle holds the rear end of the vehicle at the level specified by the design engineer even when it is loaded, which has a positive effect on driving stability and handling safety – in particular when towing a trailer.

As a further advantage the occupants enjoy consistent suspension comfort as long as the load falls within the range of the axle load ratings.

The sports suspension (also a part of the AMG Sports package) features a tauter set-up and a suspension lowered by 15 mm.

Compared with the standard-specification AGILITY CONTROL suspension, the spring and damper settings are firmer for less roll movement and greater driving stability.

The speed-sensitive sports steering with more direct ratio complements the suspension by applying steering movements to the road more dynamically.
