Audio 20 CD provides a high level of entertainment and can be optionally equipped with the Becker® MAP PILOT navigation system and an integrated CD changer for 6 discs. It is operated via the multifunction steering wheel. Co-ordinated loudspeakers with a power output of 4 x 25 watts as well as vehicle speed-dependent volume control help to ensure optimum entertainment while on the road. With the optional convenience telephony from Mercedes-Benz your mobile phone will be charged, you can make and receive calls using the hands-free system and access all the important functions of your telephone on the screen in the centre console All you need for convenience telephony is the Mercedes-Benz head unit with screen, a compatible mobile phone and a cradle to connect your phone to the exterior aerial via a fixed interface in the centre console. The functions of your mobile phone can be called up via the screen – incoming SMS are also displayed here. And if you want to make a call, you can dial your contact intuitively and with confidence using the control unit.

Live Traffic Information, a component of the optional COMAND Online multimedia system enables the reception of current precise traffic information. The system improves dynamic guidance and considerably refines the determination of the estimated times of arrival. The Media Interface with consumer cable kit is a universal interface, located in the centre console, allowing various mobile audio devices (video devices only in conjunction with COMAND Online) to be used while on the road.

The COMAND Online multimedia system is the highlight of the new telematics generation. This innovative system features an Internet browser, combines all audio, telephone and navigation functions and also includes the Speed Limit Assist function. The optimised control concept makes operation more user-friendly and intelligent than ever before. Components of the COMAND Online multimedia system:
Speed Limit Assist uses an integrated camera to identify the speed limits on road signs and show the permitted maximum speed on the central display. The system also compares identified speed limits against the data stored in the navigation system.

The digital ViaMichelin travel guide, which includes the ViaMichelin restaurant guide, is an optional extra with the COMAND Online multimedia system and is available in five languages covering 36 European countries. It gives extensive information on restaurants, hotels, points of interest and tourist routes. The search function makes it easy and quick to locate POIs (points of interest) nearby or at the destination. Grading symbols from ViaMichelin help the user to select restaurants, hotels, points of interest and tourist routes. The software also provides other multimedia information (audio files, images and texts) on ViaMichelin POIs. The travel guide contents can be updated free of charge via the Mercedes-Benz portal. | |

Bluetooth® phone module (SAP profile) in the armrest for telephony/internet connectivity, with separate SIM card reader (optional) The Bluetooth® telephone module with SAP profile is an enhancement to convenience telephony. It enables a mobile phone to be connected through the Bluetooth® SAP profile (SIM access profile) or for it to be directly operated by inserting the SIM card in the built-in SIM card reader.
