Characteristics also impressively demonstrated by the new Estate. Thanks to its sophisticated load-compartment concept, the E-Class Estate is one of the leading players in its vehicle category. It offers – with the optional folding rear bench seat in the load compartment – either room for up to seven people or up to 1950 litres of stowage space. This is made possible by completely folding the rear seat backrest out of the way using the release lever. The rear bench also has 1/3 to 2/3 split. Under the load compartment floor, which comes standard as an EASY-PACK folding floor, lies an additional stowage space of 132 litres. | |
The E-Class Estate offers a particularly large stowage space. Making efficient use of it requires intelligent solutions. For this purpose the new Estate is fitted with proven equipment features as well as newly developed technologies. The Estate comes standard-equipped with the EASY-PACK liftgate. It is operated electromechanically and can be opened at the push of a button from the driver's seat, on the liftgate or with the ignition key. It can also be closed again with a button on the tailgate itself. |
