Audio 50 APS combines precise arrow-based navigation with entertainment systems such as DVD drive and radio.

The optional COMAND APS multimedia system is a comprehensive entertainment and navigation package.

The optional Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system delivers superb sound quality to your R-Class. Featuring eleven high-performance loudspeakers (instead of eight in the standard version), a subwoofer, 610 W total output and Logic 7® multi-channel stereo technology, you’ll feel as though you’re in a concert hall – wherever you’re sitting. In the R-Class you can make precise adjustments to surround reproduction – either in the front, middle or rear sections or for the entire passenger compartment. High-tech developments such as MOST and the 11-channel DSP amplifier make the surround sound system a true highlight and provide an unforgettable acoustic experience.

The optional rear-seat entertainment system turns your R-Class into a travelling cinema. While the driver concentrates on driving, the second-row passengers can sit back and enjoy films and music. Available for all seat variants, the optional rear-seat entertainment system consists of a CD/DVD player, 20.3 cm screens in the front head restraints, two sets of cordless headphones and a remote control unit. A TV tuner is also available as an option (only in conjunction with COMAND APS) and a games console can be connected to each screen.
