PRE-SAFE® uses anticipatory systems to initiate precautionary protection measures. In addition to reversible belt tensioners for the front seats, PRE-SAFE® also includes automatic closing for the side windows and the (optional) sliding sunroof with high transverse dynamics. The air cushions in the new (optional) active multicontour seats can also be inflated in a split-second to provide enhanced support for the driver and front passenger in the event of an imminent collision. And if the front passenger seat is equipped with the optional memory package, PRE-SAFE® can move the seat automatically into a more favourable crash position.
