The new COMAND Online multimedia system is the highlight of the new telematics generation. This innovative system features an Internet browser[2], combines all audio, telephone and navigation functions and also includes the Speed Limit Assist function. It uses an integrated camera to identify the speed limits on road signs and show the permitted maximum speed on the central display. The system also compares identified speed limits against the data stored in the navigation system.
