The dimensions of the E-Class Estate, with its length of 4.90 metres, its 1.85-metre width and its height of 1.47 metres, are the basis for the largest luggage compartment in its class, with a maximum payload of 575 kg and a volume of up to 1950 litres.

The latter is made possible by folding the rear seat backrests fully down. The backrest can also be split-folded in a 1/3 to 2/3 ratio. Particularly practical: the release on the rear seat backrest: with one movement it is possible to fold down the backrest. When it is folded up again, the regular luggage compartment volume of 695 litres still offers plenty of room.

The optional folding bench seat in the luggage compartment expands the E-Class Estate providing room for two further occupants of up to 140 cm height or a weight of up to 50 kg.
