In the new C-Class you can choose between six different petrol engines. They start off with three 4-cylinder supercharged engines: the C 180 KOMPRESSOR and the C 200 KOMPRESSOR. Thanks to new engine management software and a modified piston profile, output and torque have been increased. For instance, the C 180 KOMPRESSOR delivers 115 kW (156 hp) and maximum torque of 230 Nm. The C 200 KOMPRESSOR produces a magnificent 135 kW (184 hp) and 250 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 9.5 and 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 223 and 235 km/h respectively.
A special feature distinguishes the third 4-cylinder petrol engine of the C-Class Saloon: thanks to less displacement in the engine, lower weight and improved aerodynamics, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions for the C 180 KOMPRESSOR BlueEFFICIENCY were significantly reduced. This is also due in part to tyres with lower rolling resistance.
C 180 KOMPRESSOR: fuel consumption combined: 7.4-7.8 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 177-185 g/km[2]
C 180 KOMPRESSOR BlueEFFICIENCY: fuel consumption[1] combined: 6.5 l/100km, CO2 emissions[1] combined: 156 g/km[2]
C 200 KOMPRESSOR: fuel consumption combined: 7.6- 8.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 180-192 g/km)[2]
