Appearances can be more exciting than many an experience. The new C-Class Coupé is proof of this. Its shape combines the sporty and expressive lines of the C-Class family with the elongated silhouette and compact proportions of a coupé.

The deep-set air inlet line with integral daytime running lamps alone is an indicator of the vehicle’s sporty characteristics. Behind the double-slatted radiator grille there is black, three-dimensional diamond-shaped mesh, which equally gives a sense of forward thrust. As do the flanks of the new C-Class: they appear arrow-shaped.

The flowing, coupé-shaped shoulder line runs into the short, sporty tail end, which houses the rear lights and LED indicators. The diffuser is a further outward sign of the vehicle design’s claim to dynamism. The new C-Class Coupé’s exterior is stylish, athletic and agile. This stylishness is systematically extended to the interior, which has the classy feel of an executive lounge: clearly-drawn lines and high-quality, expertly-processed materials.

The intuitively arranged controls all demonstrate at a glance that is a new member of the Mercedes-Benz family. The instrument panel is arranged on several levels, with a strong horizontal emphasis: the three-dimensional tube-shaped rings made of galvanised metal in the instrument panel give a striking effect. Both the sporty, 3-spoke steering wheel and the shift/selector lever are finished in nappa leather. Trim elements in a high-gloss black piano lacquer look round off the irresistibly classy interior style of the new C-Class Coupé.
