| | Exterior chrome package[2]
The brilliance of the new C-Class Coupé is additionally emphasised by the Chrome package, which is available as an option. It consists of striking trim elements on the bumper and shiny side rub strips.
| | Anti-theft protection package
The anti-theft alarm system (ATA) protects the vehicle against theft and break-ins. It is activated whenever the vehicle is locked via remote control. The system triggers an alarm if an unauthorised person opens one of the vehicle doors, tailgate or bonnet. The alarm also sounds if the ignition lock is shorted/removed or the foot brake applied. The tow-away protection function responds to a change in the position of the vehicle and can be deactivated – for example, if the car is being towed or loaded onto another vehicle.
| | Driving Assistance package PLUS
The Driving Assistance Package Plus makes an active contribution to safety in everyday driving situations. The proximity control, lane-change control and blind spot warning functions together with the brake system optimisation all contribute decisively to safe travel and a safe arrival. - Keeping one's distance: DISTRONIC PLUS proximity control helps the driver to maintain a specified (timed) distance from the vehicle in front when travelling at speeds of 0 to 200 km/h.
- Extended field of vision: Active Blind Spot Assist uses radar and monitors the blind spot areas to the left, right and rear of the vehicle. If a vehicle is detected within the monitored range, a warning symbol is displayed in the driver's exterior mirror. Should the driver fail to notice the warning and start to change lane, the ESP® system can intervene actively.
- Staying in line: Active Lane Keeping Assist continuously registers the lane markings on the road. Should the vehicle drift over a line or marking in an uncontrolled manner, the Active Lane Keeping Assist system responds with an active braking intervention.
- As required: In an emergency braking situation the BAS PLUS Brake Assist system can help shorten the stopping distance. The system provides the brake pressure necessary for the situation in the event of danger.
- In the event of danger: If a potential collision is identified within the speed range 30 to 200 km/h and the driver fails to apply the brakes sufficiently early, the PRE-SAFE® brake system emits visual and audible signals. If the driver does not respond to this warning, the system activates independent partial braking approx. 1.6 seconds before the calculated impact at a deceleration rate of up to 4m/s2. If the system categorises the situation as highly critical and there is still no reaction from the driver, an independent full brake application can be initiated automatically 0.6 seconds before what is considered an unavoidable impact.

| | Dynamic Handling package[2], [3]
The Dynamic Handling package with sports driving mode makes it possible to choose between a comfortable ride and an excitingly sporty drive with a push of a button. Sport mode also adjusts the firmness of the damping system and boosts accelerator response, enabling you to feel engine response more directly. Regardless of the driving mode you select, the electronically regulated damping system always adjusts to the driving situation and road conditions. This increases the road roar and tyre vibration characteristics and driving safety, particularly the vehicle’s agility.
One part of the dynamic handling package is its innovative sports parameter steering. By changing the steering characteristic, it provides a particularly sporty steering sensation. The vehicle’s lowering by 15 millimetres makes driving around fast curves even more fun.
| | Interior lighting package
The Interior Light package provides you with a better overview inside and around the vehicle with a variety of intelligently arranged light units. It includes ambient lighting in the exterior mirror, illuminated front footwell, illuminated interior handles, illuminated door pockets, courtesy lights in doors and illuminated vent control wheels.
| |
It extends the range of seat settings and is specially suited for ensuring that different drivers can each adopt their preferred sitting position quickly by calling up their own pre-programmed settings. - Three different settings for positioning driver’s seat, head restraints, steering wheel and exterior mirror can be called up at the touch of a button
- Fully electric seat adjustment for driver’s and front-passenger seats
- Electrically adjustable 4-way lumbar support for both front seats
- PRE-SAFE® positioning function for the front-passenger seat
| |
The package consists of an ashtray with a cigarette lighter in front instead of the stowage compartment.
| |
The exterior mirrors can be folded in and moved back to their original position from within easy reach of the driver. Whether you’re driving through narrow entry ways and exits, parking the car or going through automatic car washes this preventive protection of the mirror casing helps you avoid repair costs. The exterior and interior mirrors on the driver's side are responsible for better safety and improved comfort: they are automatically anti-dazzle so that a manual adjustment is no longer necessary.

The Lane Tracking package assists the driver in arriving safely and stress-free at his destination. It comprises the Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist systems. The Lane Keeping Assist feature warns the driver by means of a discreet vibration of the steering wheel as soon as he unintentionally drifts across the lane markings which have been registered by the system, and leaves the lane he is in. If, prior to crossing the lane, the indicator had been actuated or the steering wheel firmly turned, the system assumes that the lane change is intentional and does not react.
The Blind Spot Assist helps the driver to avoid dangers caused by other vehicles to the left and right of, as well as behind, the vehicle, when turning or changing lane. If the system detects a vehicle in the hard-to-see blind spot areas being monitored, a warning triangle lights up in the relevant exterior mirror.
| |
The Style package further emphasises the sporty and individual interior style of the new C-Class Coupé. It consists of upholstery in black ARTICO man-made leather with contrast stitching in porcelain, a leather steering wheel in two-tone look with a porcelain-coloured underside.<br/><br/>The trim is in porcelain-coloured piano-lacquer look, and the armrest, gearshift boot and centre console feature contrasting porcelain topstitching. The floor mats have contrasting porcelain-coloured edging.

7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission[2], [4]
The new consumption and efficiency-optimised 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission features a compellingly lowered fuel consumption, extremely gentle gearshifts and a reduced noise level. - Seven forward gears: wider overall spacing between bottom and top gear but also less spacing between one gear and the next make for a more comfortable driving experience.
- Optimum engine speed: the result - lower fuel consumption and virtually imperceptible gearshifts.
- Powerful torque: multiple downshifting allows for quick bursts of speed.
- A new generation of torque converter: increased useful life, further reduction in noise levels and a more dynamic response thanks to innovative transmission technology.
- Lower fuel consumption: the ECO start/stop function temporarily switches off the engine at stop lights and in traffic.
- Comfortable or sporty: The driver can use a switch in the centre console to pre-select one of the two customised driving modes: "E" (economic) and "S" (sport). In conjunction with the optional steering wheel gearshift paddles, a third mode is added to these for even faster gearshifting: the "M" (manual) transmission mode.

The ATTENTION ASSIST function is particularly helpful on long journeys and when driving at night; the system warns the driver if it detects signs of failing attention and increasing weariness. Between 80 and 180 km/h, ATTENTION ASSIST warns the driver visually and audibly as soon as it detects any signs of drowsiness or inattention. The background: sensors analyse driving behaviour and can detect any changes compared with the previously determined individual driver profile.
ATTENTION ASSIST comes as standard for the C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY. The system is available as an option in conjunction with the 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel with 12 buttons in nappa leather, perforated in the grip area, and the TFT display in the instrument cluster.

The Intelligent Light System emphasises the dynamic appearance of the C-Class Coupé through, amongst other attributes, its darkened headlamps and its dynamic design. But above all, it ensures better visibility and helps the driver to spot potential dangers early on. The system uses various technologies which, combined, give a high level of comfort and safety. In the country light mode the light from the low-beam headlamps is distributed such that the edge of the carriageway is significantly better illuminated than with conventional headlamps. The motorway mode is automatically activated in two steps: from 90 km/h the system boosts the power of the bi-xenon lamps. From 110 km/h the setting of the headlamp on the inside of the traffic lane also changes to illuminate the entire width of the lane uniformly for a distance of up to around 120 metres.
The expanded fog lamp improves visibility, for example in fog, snowfall or heavy rain. The left bi-xenon headlamp tilts outwards and the light cone is simultaneously lowered downwards. This light function is automatically activated as soon as the rear fog lamp is switched on and the vehicle is not travelling faster than 70 km/h.
The active light function follows the driver's steering angle: sensor data on the steering angle, yaw rate and vehicle speed allow the bi-xenon headlamps to tilt to the side within seconds as soon as the vehicle drives into a curve. With the cornering light function the cornering lamps automatically switch on when the driver activates the indicator or turns the steering wheel.
The Adaptive Highbeam Assist switches to low beam as soon as the camera detects another vehicle with its lights on, and regulates the low-beam range accordingly.

PARKTRONIC including Parking Guidance
The PARKTRONIC parking aid including Parking guidance assists the driver when looking for a parking place and makes it easier to park by giving concrete steering instructions. Ultrasonic sensors in the side front bumper measure the length of parking spaces parallel to the car automatically if the car drives past at a speed of 35 km/h or less. Parking Guidance starts once a suitable space has been found and reverse gear has been engaged. It gives the driver visual and audible directions via the instrument cluster regarding the correct steering angle as well as the turn-in and turn-back points.
The electronic parking aid PARKTRONIC monitors the front and rear of the vehicle when manoeuvring with the help of ten sensors and warns the driver if it detects a risk of collision. If the system identifies an obstruction, it emits a visual signal. As soon as the distance is less than approximately 35 cm, a short warning sound is emitted.
If the vehicle gets even closer (less than approximately 25 cm away) a continuous signal is heard. PARKTRONIC uses this procedure to make parking easier when limited space is available. If the car is not straight after the first reversing move, the system also helps the driver with the required manoeuvring moves.
The system is only available in conjunction with the optional 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel with 12 buttons in nappa leather, perforated in the grip area.

The PRE-SAFE® occupant protection system can recognise critical driving situations and, if necessary, pre-emptively activate reversible safety systems to help reduce the risk of injury to the vehicle occupants. To do this, PRE-SAFE® permanently monitors sensor data from systems such as the ESP® and BAS, and can thus, for example, recognise vehicle over/understeering as well as emergency braking. If the typical characteristics of a critical driving situation are identified, safety systems can respond within a fraction of a second. The electronic belt tensioners are activated, the electrically adjustable front-passenger seat (only in conjunction with Memory Package) is moved to a more "favourable" crash position, and the side windows and (optional) panoramic sliding sunroof are closed automatically.
